i'm sort of mad at myself for not doing a 13 month update
so here i go with a 13/14 month update.
miss busy body
never holds still...ever
loves magazines
and ripping things
has the craziest hair
i finally figured out how to tame it
because she hates anything in her hair
curly around the sides and back...
top and a little of the back (top back) is straight
makes this wide mouth surprise face.
she does it when she spills something
or if she finds something she is looking for
and when eddie comes home
when she does something, like putting something together.
like she figured out.
i'm trying to wean her from the binkie
it isn't working too well.
she will suck her thumb, or big toe
which i don't want her doing because i can't take toes or fingers away.
now she just gets it in the car and for bed
when i open the car door to get her out, she will hand me her binkie.
says a few things...sort of
baby (bay-bee), dogie (doug-ee), belly (bew-wee), daddy (da-da)
she also says a few other sounds but i can't think of them
animal sounds are minimal.
does a semi elephant sound and moo's
otherwise she grunts for the other animals
every once in a while she will wake up a few hours after bedtime
not sure if it's a night terror, or what
she cries and cries, arches her back when i force her to lay down
and usually won't go back to sleep for a little bit
so she gets to lay with daddy

we wait until she calms down
and then we lay her back in bed and she goes right to sleep
loves to carry things around
tries to dress herself
helps when i am trying to get her dressed
loves having her hair done
despite this picture...she hates having her teeth brushed
if i even touch my purse
or even sometimes when i get dressed
she runs for the door and waits.
she takes off all shoes, unless they are tied.
lots of people comment on how tiny/short she is
loves sesame street, yo gabba gabba and baby einstein
her attention span is super short for books
some books she looks at one page and tosses it to the side
she loves flip books and puzzles
makes this face a.l.l. the time.
along with blowing raspberries
she knows where her head/hair is
eyes, nose, mouth, belly, bum-bum , legs/knees and feet are
eddie thinks i was being inappropriate for taking this picture.
but i thought it was funny...
not because she had balls in her shirt
but because of her face.
she fake laughs a lot...well it's forced sounding
but it is usually cause she thinks something is funny
like a fart or a burp.
then she tries to make that sound.
or banging two toys together.
she loves to explore
and still puts anything and everything in her mouth
she loves berries...raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries
she also loves mandarin oranges, pineapple, bananas, corn, peas, green beans
thinks cantaloupe and asparagus is ok
she also likes salmon and guacamole and coconut
her new favorite mixture is ground turkey, rice, peas, celery, carrots and corn
something i made up to help her with using a spoon.
she has the motions down but hardly gets anything in her mouth
still loves water but also likes
orange juice, grape juice and apple juice
i only give her o.j. with breakfast
and the other juices are just sips from our glasses.
she sure is growing up
everyday she seems older
we find it weird when kids or mom's call her a baby
because she is discovering things everyday.
and doesn't seem like a baby anymore to us.
