Maybe I should start wearing my hair different? Tanner drew this picture of my family in sacrament meeting today. I thought it was funny, he drew me with a messy bun. He also added our dog Bo who passed away like 2 years ago with wings and a halo and Eddie and my two fish that died, also with a halo...silly kid.Sunday, June 29, 2008

We started at 9am but it was still pretty warm.
Every Sunday, in the summer, Eddie and I head up to Bridal Veil. We took Tanner with us, but for some reason he was bored and didn't want to get his feet wet, so we didn't stay long.

Boondocks
Today was my work's family summer party. We go to Boondock's annually and always have a great time. I was excited that Tanner could come with us. Eddie and Tanner started out on the race track.
Tanner beat Eddie around every time.

They got soaked!! I am glad I didn't do it, my hair might have gotten messed up. Eddie did squirt me though.
Me at dinner...pizza, salad and ice cream...in case you wanted to know what was served.
Playing Carnival games on the Wii.

ta-ta-ta-ta-Tanner
My little brother Tanner is coming to visit Eddie and I for a week. We are so excited. He comes for BYU's soccer camp which is a half day and then we go hang out. We have so many things planned. Boondocks, The Hogal Zoo, This is the Place, Scera Pool, Thanksgiving Point dinosaur Museum, Seven Peaks and 4th of July festivities.
Tanner was born when I was a freshmen in high school and he was like my own little child. I even had people at school ask me if he was mine...my response was, "Did I ever look pregnant?" Cause back then I obviously didn't.
I think this pic was a Saturday morning and my mom was gone at work and my dad was out doing yard work. Don't I look happy to be 15 and feeding a baby before 8am...

I will try to keep what we do up to date for the parentals, since they will be childless for 10 days. They probably won't know what to do with themselves, considering my older brother is almost 29 and Tanner will be 12.

REAL soccer game
On Saturday evening we headed up to Salt Lake with Ryan and Piper for the Real soccer game. Before heading to the game we ate at the PIE. Their pizza is always so yummy, but it was so hot in there. To the point we were all getting a little sweaty. After pizza we headed over to the stadium where Eddie picked up a new shirt. We had awesome seats. We were on the second row, which was technically the first row.

soft gingersnaps
I decided to make some gingersnaps for a guy at work. It is his birthday tomorrow and usually I make rainbow chip cupcakes. But I know he really likes gingersnaps, so I changed things up a bit this year. I found this recipe online but changed a few things. Instead of using shortening I used butter and instead of white sugar, I used brown sugar. They turned out great and are super yummy. I think Eddie had at least 8 last night.
Sift flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon and salt into a mixing bowl.

Place butter in bowl and beat until creamy. Gradually beat in brown sugar. Beat in the egg and dark molasses. Sift 1/3 of flour mixture into butter mixture at a time.
Pinch off small amounts. Roll each ball in a cinnamon and sugar mixture. Bake for 10 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees.2 cups sifted flour
1 tablespoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter

Weekend Festivities
This past weekend our ward had a slip and slide activity. It was so much fun!
This was before we left I was trying to get a picture of Eddie. He drives me crazy sometimes.
This was before we left I was trying to get a picture of Eddie. He drives me crazy sometimes. Then after the ward activity we headed to Oremfest, I think that is what it is called.

This was actually pretty fun, but sad. They set up this ramp and had all these people doing tricks off the ramp, hence the photo. Well the last guy to go was suppose to do this great and marvelous trick...too bad he ate concrete!! He didn't make his landing and scraped his leg all up. How embarrassing!Sunday, June 15, 2008

Weekend Plans??
This weekend on 100 East and 200 South (in front of the Senior Center) in Springville, it's the Art City Days. I get lots of cute craft ideas from going or I just save myself the time and buy it there. :) Mel...maybe I will find an apron there for you?? haha...and just say I sewed it for you. Kidding!!

This is another favorite. Yes... I know there is a Farmer's Market in Provo but when Eddie and I first got married we lived right in the heart if downtown SLC. Well maybe more in the ghetto but within walking distance to downtown. We would venture to the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning to get produce and look at crafts...Ok, I looked at crafts while Eddie would listen to the live music. And frankly the Provo Farmer's Market isn't that big and not much to choose from.
The Farmer's Market 'season' starts this Saturday. Yes it is ALL the way downtown but I think it is worth it. It is from 8am to 1pm at the Historical Pioneer Park on 3rd South and 3rd West. I believe it goes until mid or late summer, so if this weekend doesn't work for you, you still have time to check it out.Sunday, June 8, 2008
Sunday project
While serving in the singles ward, our married ward did these for enrichment. Thanks to Jessica she got me the supplies from the enrichment night. Too bad the frame they handed out were not my style. It was super easy and would make a great Father's Day gift or housewarming gift or any kind of gift. I have been meaning to do this project forever. I think it turned out great.
Here is what you need. I think the frame was $13 at Wal-mart and the pack of pictures was $4.
