the week leading up to christmas was no different than any other.
which seemed a little weird.
emi got a dog for christmas like she secretly wanted
except he wasn't to keep forever...nor was it the dog she wanted.
this is actually when we were driving him home after christmas i think.
but who cares! i actually took this picture:
to show how much makai loves ozzy
and how crazy makai is. when he is sleepy he covers his head.
miss no nap taking a nap...on the beach under her beach umbrella.
i was out running errand and eddie was with the kids.
somehow he always gets her to take a nap, but this time not on purpose.
i came home and makai was asleep.
i asked where emi was, as she usually comes running to me.
so i went into her room to check and on her and found this.
we had a few christmas books to pick up from the library
so we went a few days in a row.
on the first time there we noticed their new tablet feature.
emi was tickled pink that it was her most favorite book.
and every day after this visit she has asked to go back.
we did go back...and it has a different book each day.
makai is in heaven at the computer station.
this is where he learned to climb up chairs.
since they are shorter, smaller kids chairs.
if i turn my back for one second he is doing this.
or running towards the motion doors.
sleepy boy. this is a good sign he is ready for bed.
he plops himself down with his binkie and blanket.
you know he is really tired when he starts covering his head.
my helper! while emi is busy watching disney junior.
makai likes to help me sweep and wipe things.
he has a little kid broom, which was in the living room
but he likes anything his mama has and uses.
makai has a great personality. he is seriously so funny.
and he knows when he is being silly.
he loves to put this little hamper on his head.
just cause he knows we all think it's funny.
emi in her birds nest.
the last couple of weeks emi has taken off the cushions daily.
super annoying to put back but she loves it.
oh man! messy boy.
introduced him to ranch. he loved it!
i missed the picture but he got upset cause i wouldn't share my ranch at first.
so he put his head down on his peanut butter side up sandwich.
which then stuck to his forehead and eyelid.
he sat there for about 10 seconds looking at me, then emi...then me.
laughed about it, then pulled it off 2 seconds before i could take a picture.
this was a disaster. every time we go grocery shopping emi requests the car cart.
i always say, if there is one ok. but the seat belts have to work.
there wasn't one when we walked in, but as i buckled makai in a normal cart
in walks the worker with the car cart.
dang! should have walked and buckled at the same time.
well...come to find out...the car also didn't have functioning seat belts.
instead of ripping out the heart of two excited kiddos.
i thought to myself...it couldn't be that bad.
it was. it was bad!! he wanted both wheels.
and every time i stopped, he thought it was time to get out.
oh you know...just relaxing in the chair watching some sesame street.
after finally accepting i had a head cold
even though my nose wasn't snotty, except in the morning.
i decided to finally take medicine. i never take medicine.
not even for a headache and i'm not sure why not.
makai examined my grocery sack to see what goodies i had.
he was super impressed with my medicine.
what? do i have something in my teeth?!
this kid cracks us up. he was just being silly.
shaking that bread all around like a dog would.
spaghetti....their favorite....my worst dinner nightmare(clean up)
monster makai loves to get into anything and everything
and loves to throw and break things
in gma and gpa's non baby proofed house.
they say they don't care...until that ceramic bunny
can't be super glued together for the 100th time.
so i tied him us with my jacket.
worked for 2.5 seconds until he face planted it a few times and couldn't get up
oh and he cried and cried. we all thought it was genius.
