weekly update

with thanksgiving and reno, this past week flew by.

after napping on the way home from reno

the kids were up late. like 9pm late.

makai loves to be on some one's shoulders

he holds on to your ears, it's pretty funny.

makai was first, then emi wanted a turn...the above picture.

makai was due for a hair cut.

on my goodness he was a pain. 

every time i came near him with a comb he pulled away.

i told eddie, it might be worth the money to have someone else cut it.

i cut about half of it in the tub. then the rest outside the tub while he was watching tv.

then i put him back into the bath tub to get all the hair off of him.

he seems pleased with his new hair cut.

seriously, this child.

wearing a 3T coat and refusing to let me take a picture of her.

oh and we realized she is below the height requirement

to not have the back of her car seat.

now she has a head rest to rest her head on when she sleeps.

and of course she is safer.

she finally let me take a picture of her.

it has been cold the last couple of mornings.

finally putting our winter gear i got on clearance last year to good use.

eddie thought the gloves and beanie for $1 each were a waste last year.

there is a method to my madness eddie!

oh apple tv, i love and hate you.

i love you that we now have disney junior.

but i hate you cause we now have disney junior.

and the child knows how to turn it on and off. and switch shows.

this is emi watching the sofia the first xmas episode for the 3rd time, in less than 24 hours.

disney junior is the majority of our "fights" or her "meltdowns".

i want her to earn her screen time, but not sure how to do that

when she turns the tv on before i am even awake most days.

my only escape from the tv is to run errands.

she agreed to be a good listener, ghee...thanks.

if i took her next door to the pet shop.

she wanted to see the dogs getting hair cuts

and the rodents. eww! weird she likes those over fish.

then we headed to a different grocery store.

i get my produce from one, and the rest from another.

we hit up the $1 store before.

emi chose some gum, shocker! and i decided to get makai a balloon.

emi then begged for balloon. 

i explained she could have the gum or a balloon, not both.

she chose a balloon...they are still floating high.

makai is struggling with wanting to hold the balloon 

and holding the string at the same time.

it's not working out so well.

i love checking on my sleeping angels.

weird how i am ready for them to go to bed.

once in bed i miss them. so strange.

ok, here is a picture of makai and his weird sleeping arrangement.

he likes to be completely covered.

he doesn't stay like this, but likes to start out like this.

freezing our tails off.

the only way i can get him to wear a beanie is to put mittens on him.

we must be californian, our coats are paper thin.

we need puffy coats for the cold mornings. 

but that is the only time it is cold, in the morning.

this is how makai likes to be tucked into his car seat.

it cracks me up. he fell asleep shortly after this.

hate hair after wearing his beanie for 10 minutes max.

this little turd.

so most of the ornaments are out of his reach.

there are a few non breakable ornaments he can reach.

it's the plug that is the problem.

if it is unplugged he tries to plug it in.

if it's plugged in he tries to unplug it.
