a combination of some random picture from christmas eve.
emi decorating her gingerbread house.
so proud of her first piece.
eventually i left her to do her own thing.
a few things i want to remember about this picture.
her hair in a bun, she wanted her hair like mine for a few days.
and she insists on rolling her own pant legs.
later that night after baths and the charlie brown christmas movie
emi was ready to get ready for santa.
pouring her reindeer food into a bowl and then filled a small bowl of water.
so excited she almost walked outside with santa's plate.
putting out a carrot, reindeer food and water for the reindeer's.
later that night i went out and threw away some of the reindeer food.
dumped out some water and splashed things around.
then i thought i'd be smart and take big ol' bites out of the carrot.
was a great idea until i got huge chunks stuck behind my permanent retainer.
but i must admit. i made it look legit, like a real reindeer gnawed on the carrot.

with hot chocolate spills all down the front of her.
all set!
my parents dog ozzy ate some cookies while we were putting the kids to bed.
thanks to ozzy we didn't have to eat any extra cookies.
here are some of the mischief that our elf ruby got into.
and i realized after i wrote that stupid sign twice
that i spelled hid wrong. by then i didn't care.
and since emi can't read i didn't care enough to write it a third time.
good thing i bought that big box of kleenex
cause we were sick with snotty noses for a good straight 3 weeks.
um yeah....that nice was a pain!!
literally took me like 20 minutes.
and we had a disagreement over what is happening on the top right.
it is suppose to be a party hat, emi thought she was a robot.
i was so happy to see ruby go home to the north pole.
next year she will be making some frequent visits checking in with santa.
we might even have a boy instead next year.
i found the elf on the shelf jersey on clearance this year.
