this week was a doozy.
makai's left front tooth was coming in
he seriously is quite opposite of emi is so many things already.
emi was a no symptom teether, like oh..when did that tooth come in?
while makai on the other hand, is an extreme teether
as his dr. commented on the happenings of my week.
on sunday we had general conference.
and this is how emi thought she would be able to watch it.
she cracks me up.
she does this when i have her, have quite time in her room
i'll go in and check on her, she will be laying in bed
playing on her leap pad or watching a show.
her and i talk about giving her toys to boys and girls that don't have toys
cause she won't 'play' in her room
i think it's because she doesn't want to have to clean it up.
emi is starting to want to do other chores.
one of her favorite things besides cleaning the toilet
is using a hand vacuum on the stairs.
we also turned her 'toy monster' into makai's toy box for all his little toys.
the toy monster did it's job in the beginning.
but eventually turned into being a bad thing
turning bed time into melt down city.
this is happening. he would love to stand if he was steady.
he can stand and will with a little support
support meaning he doesn't fall to the side or forward smashing his face.
he is so close to crawling, it's driving me crazy. like just do it already.
and he pulls himself up onto his knees, then looks at me like...now what?
i guess running down the stairs is hilarious.
emi's batteries died shortly into our walk
which meant she asked me every 5 seconds how much further.
we met up at the park with some friends..
silly face! since neither would smile and look at me.
emi still prefers the swing over anything else.
and once snacks were brought out, she parked it on the bench
eating every snack we brought.
dun...dun...dun...the front tooth.
it is finally through. thank goodness.
so on wednesday he threw up twice.
then the diarrhea started. so much fun, let me tell you.
the weird thing was, he wasn't throwing up consistently.
thursday, another day of both ends. and fussiness.
but no fever or anything else that would make me think he had a bug
or the flu or something. and he only threw up twice again.
i thought if he was sick, he wouldn't keep anything down.
the throwing up stopped by friday, or so i thought.
sometime in the afternoon he threw up again, so i called the dr. for some advise.
it said it is rare that teething causes vomiting, but in extreme cases
those that don't handle pain well, and the example he gave me
was women throwing up in labor from pain.
awesome, so he was having the equivalent of labor pains from his tooth
and i hadn't given him any medicine, frozen teething ring, numbing stuff...etc
i tried feeling the tooth to see, 'where we were'.
and he would clamp his mouth shut. well i felt it today. it's through!!
can't wait to see his snaggle tooth.
he seriously has so much volume to his hair.
cracks me up. every day i think of cutting it shorter.
but for some reason i can't bring myself to do it.
he is turning into such a messy eater.
like hitting the spoon and spreading it everywhere
days later he will still have stuff up his nose.
i've been using a q-tip after bath time now.
ugh...the bratty sleeper was back most of the week too.
i just held him and let him sleep where ever, when ever
he will sleep for a long time if sleeping with my blanket.
otherwise it's 30-45 minutes and as short as 10 minutes.
emi came home with this little handout
so excited for her. i think she will do good.
when i have gone into primary for enrichment handouts
she is the only one in her class sitting, forward in her chair.
so proud that she sits still and engages in the songs and sharing time.
