weekly update

amazing the difference of documentation of easter

last year i had camera and video recorded her discovery 

this year...we basically got swatted in the face 

saying: wake up! the easter bunny left me something.

while eddie and i still half asleep go out of bed

only to walk into the living room, where emi went through her 

easter basket in 2.5 seconds and was asking to eat candy.

then she wanted to go outside and jump in the puddles

as it had rained and stormed all night.

after jumping in the puddles she came across a huge worm

we made eddie come lift it up. it was huge.

eddie swung it towards her, where she screamed bloody murder

and probably woke all the neighbors before 7am.

mr. makai all ready for church.

i love his hair combed over. except it doesn't stay.

once dried it poofs right up.

he has been drooling so bad, and has a little rash on his chin

his top, front tooth is coming in...soon

after church we headed to oma and opa's

while lunch was cooking we had a little easter egg hunt.

tanner's eggs had money...while emi's had candy.

it was fun to do an outside hunt.

since we had hide our eggs in the house since it was storming outside.

oma ordered a special easter bunny cupcake for tanner and emi

emi ate one ear. i felt bad. but she won't eat cupcakes.

and i think by the time we ate dessert she was all sugared out.

jumping on the couch, wearing her new zebra shirt.

with day old crazy hair.

this week she declared she only showers on wednesdays, saturdays and sundays

basically she has figured out the only days we actually go somewhere.

otherwise we have no pressing issue to actually get ready.

emi was so excited to use her jamba gift card.

i love how she insists on ordering but won't walk loud or clear

so i basically have to repeat everything she says.

she gets mad if we go out to eat and we order for her.

yum! strawberries wild...her favorite.

she loves to sit and wait on the stools.

weird she also likes to order a pretzel...the only bread she will eat.

working on his crawling.

he has come a long ways from this.

i wish our carpet was a little bit softer.

but whatever...we are renting. and he won't be rolling around on it for long.

makai enjoyed his first pizza crust.

he is over baby food. he likes more real food.

he begs and cries all the time if we eat in front of him and not share.

this works perfect since emi doesn't eat it.

such a good sport. as if he knows any better.

emi is lucky he has hair :)

she even took the "flat iron" to his hair. 

i had to stop her when she started putting "make up" on him

she was practically poking his eye out with her plastic eye shadow brush.

our city has a great food truck 'community'

the first wednesday they meet where the ice skating ring was.

eddie goes for a burger place, i go for the shaved ice.

i spent most of my week working on these participation trophies 

i tried putting our pack number on them

but my vinyl wouldn't stick to the wood

drove me crazy....but eddie was right. the boys didn't care.

tanner got his braces off. 

i need to get a picture of him.

emi refused to take a shower or get dressed.

i had no shame and brought her in her pajamas

his appt was around lunch time. we went messy hair and all.

just not worth the fight sometimes.

literally the night before the derby i was still racking my brain 

for 'winner prizes' i couldn't think of anything

then i decided everyone likes candy

and tried my hand at making candy bouquets.

they turned out alright. and the boys really liked them.

emi has been throwing up lately at night.

like she has thrown up 3 times in the last couple weeks.

totally random. super annoying in the middle of the night...and gross.

it's always at 2am, and she comes in and says she needs to throw up

she threw up like once an hour all night

and took 3 naps the next day. she must have been exhausted.

makai is out for blood.

or something to relieve his tooth pain.

his front tooth is almost through.

you can feel and see it, but has yet to poke through.

he will bite your toe if given the chance.

or he will lick your leg...smooth or hairy, he doesn't care.

makai sat the entire time during the pinewood derby in the bumbo

then like clockwork he wanted to go to bed

eddie just put him in his car seat and he fell asleep within seconds.

he even slept through all the yelling and cheering.

 

we have a super small pack. like 10 kids.

they all had a great time. 

i'm glad it's over and am hoping this is my last pinewood derby.

as i've been told i might be released from cub master calling.

that's another story for another day.
