bubble gums

a few months ago now emi was refusing her naps

and i knew she still needed them when she was falling asleep at 6:30

i decided she needed an incentive, something to work for

she loves gum! i didn't really like the idea of giving her a whole piece of gum

so i thought...hmm...maybe a gumball will work

and if she fights that, i'll offer two or three.

worked like a charm ...hope i don't jinks myself :)

she has been napping for a bubblegum for at least a month

she gets so excited for it, it's so funny.

it's even more funny when she wakes up in the morning

and declares she needs a bubblegum because she took a nap

meaning she slept in her bed all night.

what is funny to me, is that she won't get out of her bed!

she even stays laying down in her bed

she has a system, if she calls for me 3 times and i don't respond

then she calls daddy even if he is at work.

then if he doesn't answer she either goes back to sleep or cries.

little does she know she is welcome to read books or play...

or even open then door and come on out. silly girl!
