weekly update

this boy and his love for trail mix.
he was so excited and kept saying ya ya ya! over and over at costco.
he really only likes the m&m's and raisins.

this is seriously his best smile when he knows i'm taking a picture.
i think it's hilarious.
that menu kept him busy forever.
he kept pointing to all the food and signing food
and making a hmmm sound.

we decided last minute to go out and celebrate emi's last weekend
before school and soccer starts.

and we surprised emi by taking her to this new park by leatherby's
i have taken makai a few times but she had never been.

we were just waiting for them to knock heads.
emi won't take a serious picture lately.

sunday mornings eddie has bishopric meetings at 8am.
so that leaves me to get the kids and myself ready by 11.
i will say we are never late now that we aren't waiting on eddie.
i was doing emi's hair and i thought makai was reading books
like he usually does.
i walked in to let him know it was his turn to get dressed
and i walked into a colored mess! while i got my camera he shook his finger.
like what i do and say when he is in trouble, naughty, naughty.
luckily it wiped right up and emi learned she can't leave her markers out.
after a quick bath he was good to go.

i sent eddie this picture.
which left a big orange smudge mark on the wall.
while makai was in the bath, eddie walked in.
i guess no one showed up to the 9am meeting so he came home.
good thing cause i was about to post an ad for "almost 2 year old for rent".

part of my homework for makai's therapy
is to lock the cabinets to the 'pantry'.
which i have re-assigned to eddie.
this is what happens when i push everything back and out of his reach.
he comes up with other ways to reach snacks.
he is suppose to ask me/ sign he wants something to eat.

emi has been waiting weeks to bake some cookies.
we finally made them...just in time for her to use the last of milk on her cereal.
we have been flying through milk lately.
i get whole milk for the kids and 1% for us.
she used the last of the whole milk and said, where is the blue lid milk?
i had to explain we drank it last night at dinner.
