we finally got around to taking emi to her 2 year well check up
she was so perfect the whole time!
and she obviously loved crinkling the paper .
she said: HeY! as the dr. walked in.
held her ear for him to look in, ha!
i tried talking to her about going to the dr. a few days before we went
and every time i mentioned him looking in her ears
or looking in her mouth and listening to her heart.
or touching her belly (her least favorite part)
she would say no!
but when we got there she was so good about it
except when he went to listen to her lungs on her back
she was like, what the heck? no one told me about this...
she weighed in at 28 pounds and is 35 inches tall
and her head was 48 cm, i think.
she also had to get a TB test...
the nurse had her lay down on the table
and kind of laid on her legs so she couldn't move them.
eddie was in charge of one arm and i was in charge of the procedure arm.
the needle went in, and emi said: OuCh!
and that was that! so brave no crying at all.
then we headed over to the blood draw place to get tested for lead.
this picture speaks a thousand words!!
what a traumatic experience. no wonder people hate needles.
unfortunately, this lady couldn't find a vein and swam around to find one
so a different lady tried, while i held emi.
i pretty much had her in a choke hold to hold her still.
it was so sad, and she was so upset.
once it was over, she was like drained.
and whimpered for a good 30 minutes after even busting into tears
luckily we don't have to do that for another year!
she is doing just fine now and it's like nothing ever happened.
besides her three boo boo's!
