i am so far behind in blogging.
not sure how else to say it.
aka...video game playing time while little children are sleeping.
who really knows and or cares.
this face! i miss when emi use to make this face.
and ruins all pictures by a silly or weird face.
she had no clue she had sweet and sour sauce on her face.
and then she slipped out of the booster seat.
which side the sweet and sour sauce was on.
momo and poppy got emi a projector where you trace the image.
i have yet to make out an image but she loves it.
i love this man so much.
even if he just got home and was ready to change and hungry for dinner.
rather than pushing her away so he can get into comfortable clothes or to eat first.
i will so be dead the minute he sees this.
little did he know i was saving it for the good ol' blog

emi was dancing and eddie comes sliding out of our room
with his snowboard helmet on. emi loved it.
(our house was a mess. i am not a hoarder i promise. so glad xmas decorations are put away)
as gpa put it: emi was trying to scar makai for life
it was time for makai to nurse and emi volunteered
didn't work out so well :)
poppy use to have a mustache
and for some reason emi keeps talking about it.
maybe cause eddie can't grow one, haha! which i appreciate.
i never have a scratchy lip or chin for that matter kissing me.
emi thought she was hilarious and insisted on me taking a picture.
awe! my sweet baby taking a sunday nap with me.
although i do enjoy a nap with him
he takes a much better and longer nap in the swing.
not to mention i sleep better.
tanner received his eagle scout on the 23rd...more on that later.
emi wanted her picture taken, so i took it.
i gotta take them while she wants one.
christmas eve we decided we needed to make some cookies for santa
eddie decided to help and smashed a cookie in emi's face.
emi thought it was hilarious.
i love eddie's concentration face.
haven't seen it for a while, since he hasn't been in school for a while.
jiggles: that's what gg calls him.
i'm hoping to make it stick so we can keep her memory alive.
he was so happy we were all sitting around the table
he usually is taking an evening nap when we eat dinner.
i forgot to mention we have a yeller!
he yells and yells all day.
we went over a friends house last week for dinner and their son
who is 11 months old yelled and screamed high pitch the entire dinner.
i'm assuming his way of communicating as the second child
how lucky am i...
i thought it was cute/funny while at dinner.
yet now that makai has started yelling i think i need to invest in ear plugs.

i found out i didn't have a change of clothes in my diaper bag for him
like i thought i kept one in there for a blow out
good thing he isn't a blow out baby.
spoiled rotten to the core!
hope i can think of some more things for her birthday.
at this point all i can think of is clothes.
she has 5 leap pad games in her closet, thanks to a good deal.
so much for getting her something she wanted, needed, to read and to wear
ahhh! the day after christmas i took down christmas.
eddie had to go to work and emi was busy playing with all her new toys.
eddie texted me and asked me how my day was going.
this was the text back. he was sad i took down the tree already.
this is makai's little area.
little stinkers trying to suck his thumb.
he basically just sucks the first knuckle
not really his whole thumb and it doesn't satisfy his suck
so he does it just for a little bit then stops.
i hope he will kick it to the curb before it becomes a habit.
see, emi has been busy entertaining herself.
that thing is so worth it. it has a left handed function for lefties.
she has 3 games so far: tangled, olivia and jake and the neverland pirates
she likes olivia the best, then jake and tangled last.
i think because tangled wants you to spell words and she isn't there yet.
he just wants to sit up. if i lay him on his back he arches his back and cries
if i put him on his tummy he is fine for a little bit but then cries
if i put him like this, he is all smiles.
he leans to one side but stays up. pretty good for just shy of 4 months.
oh emi! i think i need to start washing our fruit right away.
i didn't feed her breakfast fast enough i guess.
she does this with blueberries, strawberries and grapes.
mr. makai loves tv. already. and my phone.
we have been having a hard time nursing if emi is within view.
or if the tv is in view. and it will only get worse from here.

makai is a jumping machine.
we often laugh at how hard and high he can already jump.
when we put emi in the jumper she would just lay their
like a limp noodle, so this is a nice change
the cherry on top is when he laughs while jumping.
new years eve we decided to hit up leatherby's for some ice cream.
emi ordered bubble gum
she was so excited to get lots of bubble gums
but almost refused it since it was blue and not pink bubble gum ice cream.
when she was done she ate about 10-15 bubble gums. wish i got a picture.
emi wasn't like how makai is in his car seat
she enjoyed her car seat, he hates it. hates it!
like cries the entire time in the car and once at the destination
and he isn't taken out, he cries and fusses.
like get me out of this. not sure of the issue.
so while we enjoyed our ice cream, he glared at us.
best way to wake up to the new year.
eddie and i had our martinelli's around 11:30 then headed to bed
to watch the ball drop while in bed.
well we both fell asleep before midnight, ha!
eddie woke up to our neighbors fireworks
i woke up at 12:30 to makai ready to eat (he was off schedule all day)
only to go back to sleep. nothing like taking a short nap at midnight.
emi baking, cooking, chopping, measuring with olivia.
i still haven't established a good "rule" for when she gets to use it.
maybe is she is nice? i don't know. when i'm in the shower? quite time?
emi told her first lie. her first true lie.
i gave her enough opportunity to fess up.
my oma and opa gave her these ponies.
well she had the scissors in her room from opening up a different present.
when we were getting her ready for bed i helped clean up her room
that's when i noticed a chunk of purple main under her bed.
i asked what it was, she pushed it further under her bed.
i asked her to pull it out, i wanted to see it. she said it was nothing.
i asked her again and she showed me it. as i was showing her the damage to the tail.
i asked what happened. she said she didn't know.
i told her to be honest and tell me what happen.
as if i didn't already know :)
she stuck to her story that she didn't know and blamed it on rudy
her imaginary dog. i asked her again for the truth.
she stood her ground. so she went straight to bed, no stories.
she cried and cried. we felt horrible. and felt sorry for her.
after a little suffering i went in to talk about why it was important to tell the truth
yada, yada, yada!
eddie went in to comfort her after i left. i hate being the mean one sometimes.
and finally today. and i will be all caught up.
except for tanner's court of honor.
we were invited to join a music makers group.
i really wanted to get emi involved in a joy school atmosphere.
but no one else was willing to commit.
the kids in her music maker class are close to a year younger
but i will take what i can get. she loved it.
and the other moms appreciated her reverence and participation.
she is a good example to the younger kids.
the downside...she talks about how the kids are naughty
and don't sit still and don't listen. ha!
