treasure trove

tonight we had the opportunity to take emi to her first disney on ice.
eddie's work has a box, so we were able to be comfortable
and we seriously has the most perfect view!
emi wasn't so sure what was going on.
she just saw $12 popcorn and $12 cotton candy and $12 snow cones walking around.
and kept saying she wanted one of each.
such a rip off, i'm glad emi is o.k. with being told no.
once the show started she was just fine without any of it.
she literally sat in this seat mesmerized by the whole thing.
and maybe she was a little sleepy, since our show started at 7pm
and she usually goes to bed at 6:45pm when she doesn't get a nap.
these next few pictures were taken during the intermission.
the only 'act' she didn't like was the first, alice in wonderland.

we would ask her if she liked it, or if she was having fun
and all she could do was nod she was so interested in what was going on.
and didn't want to miss a thing.
the end was the best when all the princess's came out,
even those that didn't have an 'act'. like cinderella her current favorite.
she did the whole jaw drop, put her hands up in excitement.
she also commented that ariel's hair was not red but brown.
it was like a natural/auburn looking, not the actual color red. silly girl.
we also had our trunk or treat tonight.
we had to leave pretty much before anything even started
we were trying to make an effort to be involved
we were also able to go see the horse.
that was as close as she would get to it.
she was also able to get a face painting.
when the brush was literally inches from her face
she decided she wanted it on her hand, not her face.
 our cute little jessie!
we are excited for monday...her first year trick or treating:)
and for toy story 3 on ice february.

iphone picture dump

when my photo album on my phone nears 250 pictures/videos
i save them to my computer...i usually do it about once a month
my phone is seriously so worth it
for the amount of pictures and video i take with it.
granted most pictures are blurry but none the less they capture the moment.

emi colored a picture for poppy on his birthday.
so we took a picture and texted it to him.
emi is seriously obsessed with 'her' phone.
i usually only let her watch it when grocery shopping.
eddie's face says it all, not very happy we have turned into those parents
we say ok sometimes, just to shut her up. and that needs to change.
the first step is recognizing the problem, right?
but lately it has turned into constantly wanting it.
she refuses any books, which use to be a source of entertainment in the car.
literally the second i get in the car she asks for it
i have to lie and say it is charging, then she says: no it not!
she knows i'm lying, she knows darn well it's in my purse.
we try to go to the children's museum about twice a week.
she loves the art area and i do too...
i love watching her create and think about what she is going to do next.
she also likes to color and paint at home.
i don't let her cut or glue anything yet, but i'm thinking about it.
i'm a little nervous though because
every time she see's scissors she talks about haircuts.
she just figured out the marker lids fit perfect on her fingers.
a text between eddie and i.
she has done it a few other times since
but when i ask her to write an E she says she doesn't know how.
so i don't really think she knows what she is doing.
emi is enjoying her new chair.
we have been looking for a leather chair for emi for a while
so when i found one at a decent price i picked one up.
it also frees up the big leather chair
which is the popular seat to sit in when watching t.v.
all ready for her halloween party.
 watching beauty and the beast.
she has been on a cinderella kick lately, so i decided to spice things up.
i didn't think about the 'scary' parts.
so when i walked by and saw her like this i had to take a picture.
it was like a car accident, you don't really want to see how bad it is
but you can't help but look.

a halloween party

for halloween emi wanted to be jessie.
anytime anyone talks about what they are going to be for halloween
emi pipes in and says, me jessie halloween!
she has the yee-haw down...
 loving on her bulls-eye
which she decided to leave in the car so she didn't have to share.
she didn't really want her picture taken, she just wanted to go!
we were invited to a weekly activity called music makers.
i had heard of it, but was never officially invited
or told the when's and where's about it.
it was a cute little program with songs and story-time.
our friends daughter was rapunzel. emi is actually the same age as her younger brother.
emi was obsessed with her dress and especially her hair.
i'm glad she wasn't bothered with emi smothering her.
it was hilarious to watch how protective emi was of her hair.
if anyone tried to touch it, she would stiff arm them and say no touching!
and if someone did touch it, she would straighten it out.
emi was as happy as a fat kid in a candy store if she got to stand near rapunzel.
she was so excited to trick or treat.
i pulled a rookie parent move and didn't even think of bringing her trick or treat bag.
overall emi had a great first halloween party.

we have a busy weekend filled with trunk or treating and disney on ice.
along with halloween on monday. happy halloween!!

pumpkin painting

instead of carving a pumpkin this year we let emi paint her pumpkin
she was super excited about it and had a great time.

 admiring her work.
 the finished product.

eddie came up with the idea for our pumpkin.
he gave up after a while because
the washable paint wasn't thick enough for his liking.
good thing it's washable, cause i'm thinking of washing it all off
and putting mr. potato head pieces in it or letting emi paint it.

court of honor

on sunday night tanner had a court of honor.
i guess i should say my dad had a court of honor since he is the scoutmaster
tanner got 9 badges/awards...advancements, i don't know what the official word is.
eddie is the varsity assistant coach so he got to participate.
he works with the 14-15 year olds.
tanner had to give a presentation in front of everyone.
i didn't actually get any pictures of tanner receiving his awards
because he was constantly flipping his hair
so he was blurry in 99.9% of them.
so this picture will have to do.
emi was busy eating, sucking on cady and blowing bubbles with her gum
oh and climbing all over the chairs that were not occupied.
 miss emi
 being a
 silly girl!
congratulations tanner for all your advancements.
i'm excited your next scouting adventure is your eagle.

it's dripping

that's what emi calls it when it's raining.
miss emi was so full of attitude today.
and even though i don't like how she is acting
i wanted to remember some things.

this wasn't sassy but she is her father's child.
she told me she was hungry yesterday while we were out and about
i asked her what she wanted for lunch.
she said a cheeseburger with bacon, lots of bacon! and fries!
usually she says mcdonalds, so i wasn't expecting that
or the lots of bacon comment.

today i had a rough day with emi
she was a terrible two, to the max!
every answer was no! i not!
like when i asked her to talk nice
she would throw her arm like she is hitting
and say no, i not! which means no i don't want to...i guess

or when i asked her what she was doing
she says never mind, like mind your business.
or nothing! which means she is usually doing something she isn't suppose to
and usually says, sorry the second she see's you.

thank you very much mr. smee! from peter pan
emi got a time out for sticking her tongue out at me today
she would just show me she could stick her tongue out
i asked her who taught her that and she said pirate hook :)
but today, i asked her to be nice
of course, she said no! i not! followed by sticking out her tongue.

she also puts her nose in the air, usually closing her eyes
and walks away....it's "cute" but sassy.
she only does it when she's bossed around.

hopefully tomorrow she will wake up happy
and in a nice mood(minus the attitude she had today)
and i can have more patients.
because the word on the street is, it's really terrible 3's not 2's.

fog willow farm

yesterday we headed to the pumpkin patch
we had a lot of fun and i took a lot of pictures.
mainly for the grandparents who couldn't come with us.
when we first walked in there were crates full of small pumpkins
emi will so excited. it is so fun to watch her.
of course she had to measure herself.
hmmm? where should we go first?
do you like my shirt i threw together for her? eddie says it looks like pac-man
which i do have to agree, but it's still cute!
they had tons of different poke your head through things
luckily she just wanted pictures with a couple.
 she seriously is hilarious.
this was her reaction to some bunnies
in what seemed to be an old pool or horse water troff.
i guess she thought it was funny for some reason.
then she saw some bunnies in cages
the petting zoo was a little rough in the beginning
i think she was afraid of the sheep.
she really started freaking out at one point...
until i started playing tag with the sheep.
then she wasn't sure if she should cry or laugh.
one thing she was sure of...she was grossed out by the goat poop
after a while she was fine, as long as the sheep wasn't around.
mr. eddie
 miss emi
 emi looking mighty cute!
emi loved walking all over the farm.
we saw some llamas and a donkey
we also saw some chickens and some stinky pigs.
emi also liked the cow and gave a great cow impression.
i love catching emi do her cute girly things she does.
like how she stopped and covered her mouth when a tractor was coming our way.
after looking at the farm animals we headed over for the pony ride.
the rides were a good amount of time.
we learned the ponies only "work" 8 days out of the year.
emi rode buster for both times she rode.
she did really good for how nervous she was acting before hand.
luckily gma got to come and see emi ride her first pony.
the second time she was more relaxed
after the pony rides we headed over this huge trampoline with hay on it.
they were just a bunch of mattresses covered with tarps then with hay.
emi loved jumping and throwing hay.
emi also enjoyed the mountain of hay which she climbed up all by herself.
at the top she was so proud of herself.
she had to make a pit stop on the way down to clean her shoes out.
then it was time to pick out a pumpkin!
 she couldn't decide.
waiting around for daddy to pick out his perfect pumpkin.
overall we had a great time!
and can't wait to do it again next year!!
