lazy days

with a cub scout blue and gold dinner and an enrichment activity

back to back i've been a little busy lately.

kind of stressful as i'm the only one that plans and executes theses activities

since for cub scouts i have no committee

and for enrichment, my committee sucks and never shows or follows through.

so if any detail is left out it is no ones fault but mine.

luckily the activities were a success and now i'm trying to catch up

with the rest of my life, cleaning, laundry, blogging...

before i have to plan and execute the RS bday dinner and pinewood derby.

i'm trying to be better about taking pictures with my camera

so my life can be documented in better quality

other than cell phone pictures.

makai is almost sitting up. he can sit up.

but will randomly throw himself back in excitement.

so for now, i'm leaving the boppy behind him as cushion.

it's a good thing this boy is so cute and happy all the time

he loves to scream and yell most of the day.

he has a bad case of eczema on his face (even though you can't really see it in these pictures)

not sure if it's from drooling or what?

maybe food sensitivity to my milk? 

he has super sensitive skin like emi does. boo!

if i am around while he is playing

he would prefer to watch whatever i am doing

rather than play with all his toys.

he generally chews on it for a small amount of time

then throws it out of reach and cries when he can't reach it.

 

if i spend quality time makai without inviting emi

she comes and acts all snooty as if she is left out.

then will usually 'try' to do something she thinks is funny

or tells a 'joke'... her favorite joke:

why did the chicken cross the road? a: cause he didn't have any tree branches

???? you don't get it either? i can hardly laugh at that anymore

my eyeballs almost roll out of my eyes. i have to take a deep breath.

then i 'laugh' and say: oh man! that's a funny one...... not!

 

every time i try to get a picture of his teeth

this is what happens. they are there. promise.

and they are sharp!! 

 

they look nothing a like to me.

i do think however they have certain characteristics 

of each of us, just opposite i guess. if that makes sense.

and i think it is hilarious his face is wider than hers currently.

a different day when i was trying to spend some one on one time with makai

emi was coloring the inside of her spaceship.

she seriously is a character. and has been begging for attention lately.

acting like her space ship is too tight just so i will look at her.

silly girl. i'm glad she is using her imagination.

even if her spaceship was too small.

pat and rock, pat and rock. such a pain.

emi was so easy. she acted tired i would just go lay her down.

not this mister.

and lately he is arching, yelling and biting his binkie 

if he isn't ready to go to sleep yet

even though he may have been yawning and rubbing his eyes.

emi and her crazy hair.

it is seriously a battle to have her take a shower.

i have to barter with her to just take her hair out.

then to get undressed, turn the shower on and then to actually get in.

 

 she says she wants to be lazy and stay in her jammies every day.

speaking of lazy...last sunday i was doing my running around

double checking with people and collecting money for the activity

i was talking to one of the girls coming

i had emi with me, on our way upstairs to primary

anyways. i ask this girls mother in law if she was coming

she said no she would come but wasn't going to do the craft

cause she was lazy and didn't feel like it.

and what does emi say!?! that's ok. my moms lazy too!!

 we all had a good laugh. that girl of mine. silly girl.
