operation no swaddle = epic fail

mr. makai is the worst sleeper ever
well compared to emi that is.
he is a horrible napper in the day unless it is silent.
which is super weird because i can....
vacuum, drop a thick plastic bowl (from the top cabinet), crinkle a chip bag, etc...
but if he hears us talk...he is sure to wake up.
i've tried just going about my business and if he wakes up he wakes up
that doesn't work, usually ends up in a 10 minute nap for him
not to mention he can not sleep without being swaddled.
i use to just wrap him tight in a blanket and he breaks right out of it.
so when he started breaking out of his swaddler, i thought it was time
especially when he was waking up every 45 minutes at night.
apparently not :(
i tried with a nap during the day. i 'rocked' him to sleep.
then gently placed him in his bed. i stood there and watched the drama unfold.
his hands went straight up to rub his face.
which then knocked out his binkie. and then he woke up....not even a minute.
i put his binkie in and walked out.
after 15 minutes or so, i went to check on him
hoping he was asleep....wishful thinking.
well he saw me, so he started crying.
i let him cry in 15 minute increments. then i would go in a soothe him.
i did that for about an hour. then there was silence!
really! he tired himself out from crying, yay!
a few more days and he will have it down....NOPE!!
he just turned over :) new view.

after another almost hour...i caved.
i couldn't take the crying anymore. i knew he would fall asleep in seconds.
and he did. and slept for 3 hours.

he only woke up twice that night
he must have known something was up.
get your act together or cry yourself to sleep :)

this was after i fixed him earlier in the night.
he still is only going 6 hours at night, kill me now!
compared to emi's 12 hours by now.
see horrible sleeper compared to emi.
but he is so cute, so i'll forgive him

the night that i had enough.
this picture is super blurry, but his eyes are all red from him rubbing them.
dang baby!!
the one good thing, we transitioned out of the positioner.
let's just hope he doesn't roll over all swaddled up.
luckily every night since he hasn't broken out of it.
yet....until tonight probably, ha!
