early monday morning gma passed.
so back on the road we go.
we were literally home 5 days before we drove another 10 hours
we hadn't even cleaned or vacuumed out the car yet.
last time i drove to utah in june, i was able to drive half way
this time, makai was awake a lot more.
eddie was being a bum and wouldn't come sit on the blanket

makai was in a stinky mood too.
he didn't enjoy the swing like usual
and he refuses to nurse in the car...too many distractions
after an hour out of the car.
back on the road we go.
there was a ton of construction...
that was fun...insert sarcasm.
emi was happy as can be.
she did awesome as usual.
she was also such a good helper giving makai toys.
the men sang a song at the funeral
one most of them didn't know :)
gma would have loved it anyways.
she loved when eddie sang.
and my uncle mark in the middle has a wonderful voice
he was with gma the days before her passing
he would sing church hymms for her, which she loved.
even though jessica and the kids were out of town
we were still able to stay at hotel quigley
which we appreciated so much!
and hopefully we kept brian company.
probably not since we left early and came home late every day.
emi enjoyed watching cable while eddie was golfing.
he headed to the store for some fruit
since that's what the kids eat.
emi was pouting cause we wouldn't buy candy
i guess something jessica had done before with the kids
and makai...well makai was being makai
smiling to random people.
after the funeral we had a few days before we headed home.
eddie golfed each morning
after he got home, we headed to BYU
walked around the bookstore. tried to visit some old friends.
and ate at the creamery....which was so yummy!
emi was amazed and shocked at this display at the bookstore.
she said...oh...my...gosh!!
take my picture and send it to momo and poppy.
emi and makai playing with jocelyn's toys
it was a little strange they weren't there.
when we first got there emi made a funny comment
obviously she didn't mean anything nasty about it but i had to laugh
she said: we should take a picture of me in hayden's bed and you can text it to jessica
i must have a dirty mind cause i immediately thought that was dirty
but then she followed it with: that it would be so silly
then i remembered it was a 4 year old saying that.
chowing down on a jdawg.
if eddie ever quit his day job he thinks a jdawg food truck would be awesome.
ok he didn't say that, but we thought it would be a good idea
the food truck...not quitting his day job.
we did a little shopping down at city creek.
emi thought she looked like the lady on the incredibles.
such a nervous nellie.
she was afraid to get her dress wet.
yes the dress she is wearing, that goes above her knees.
such a silly girl.
i love watching her sleep.
she is so cute and not sassy.
emi has finally ventured out of the smiley face.
this is harry the helpful horse.
i love it.
