3 months....1/4 of a year

things didn't really go as i planned today.
do they ever with a baby? and showing a house?
first i tried to get a pic with her sitting up in the boppy.
something she usually enjoys.
not today...she just kind of laid back in it.

then i thought it would be a better idea to lay her down.

then i tried her standing...something she loves.

then i gave up and tried the swing.

i really can not believe how the time has flown.
she is the sweetest, calmest, sleepiest baby i know.
she is always in a good mood.
and generally smile at anyone....
i think i might need to give her a lesson on stranger danger.

i don't have any stats...
no 3 month appointments but i am sure she has grown.

some things she's doing:
loves, loves, loves to stand
(sometimes when we try to get her to sit, her legs are stiff as a board)
talks a bunch
still loves bath time
still hates tummy time
(unless watching tv of course)
rolled over once at gma's
very nosy!
(doesn't want to miss out on anything)
great eater, unless the tv is on
sleeps like a champ!
likes to skype or video chat
loves the pool
sits in a bumbo chair
favorite book is 'little butterfly'
(has little finger puppet sticking thru the book)
rocks a mo-hawk
prefers little bows over headbands
wakes us up by her talking
only cries when hungry or overstimulated
takes her binkie out, but can't put it back in
starting to love fabric textures
might be teething...biting and drooling on everything
little case of eczema
flirts when she smiles
(she will smile and then turn away and look back at you)
stares at me until i look at her, then she gives me a big smile
makes a funny noise by breathing in when she's excited
daddy's demeanor, mommy's sassiness (is that a word?)
loves the blanket over her face or at least touching
had her toe nails painted


i need to scan my baby pics because she looks a lot like me.
but in person she is a mini eddie.

obviously she is sleeping

cause i am posting while i can.

people are coming to look at our place in 40 minutes.
i'm done straightening up.
since my angel baby has been sleeping for the last 2 hours.

i know i should have been listening to the speaker.
but she was just so darn cute, i had to take a pic.
eddie does that with his mouth all the time.
some days she is my mini eddie.

serious addiction to the t.v.
and she avoids eye contact like the plague.
he tried everything to make her look at him.
what can i say, she's like her mother.
she's sassy...oh and likes t.v.

apparently she forwards on the pics i send her daily.
we try to meet eddie for lunch sometimes.

silly sleeper

i literally find emi sleeping like this every night.

she fidgets so much in her sleep that she wiggles down.
most of these pics were taken anywhere from 2:30 to 4:30am.
since she likes her blanket near her face, i go in and check on her.

this was one morning, she was jabbering away.

this was last night, after i had already moved her back up.

eddie, doing his motherly duties. ha!
i love how she is staring at him.
like um, you don't usually give me food but i'll take it.

and everyday she is trying harder and harder to get material in her mouth.

last sunday she tried eating her dress...wasn't successful...
she couldn't pull it up far enough and would just get her fist.

super blurry but i was hurrying with my phone
she was trying to pull her pant leg up to eat it.

tummy time is still if'ie (is that a word?)
some days she is willing and ready, other days she just lays there crying.
this pic is her willing... to watch tv.
i sat there switching the channels for a full 5 minutes, kept her attention.
i know that is probably a horrible habit to start.
but at least she held her head of for 5 plus minutes without crying.

girlie onesies

i love creating new things.
my cousin had twins last month and is in town.
i decided sometime today i wanted to make custom onesies for the girls.
this is what i came up with.

BTW, those toys on her car seat are pointless.
they just fall to the side.

the bikini

i was all excited when i saw this bikini for sale ($5) at old navy.
i really wanted to get it for her before she was born but didn't.
look at those chunky legs.

she is getting rolls on her knees.
anyways, after i bought the bikini and brought it home.
i realized it wasn't such a great purchase.

her swim diaper goes way above the bottoms.
she sure looks cute in it though.
maybe we will just have to use it at the beach in august with no swim diaper.

so we decided to wear this yesterday to the pool.
she loves to stand up.
she hates to lay down. she would rather sit up.
when she is laying down, she always tries to lift her head.
she is growing way to fast.

e-baby's smile

i love e-baby's smile.
it has three parts.

part one: the almost smile with part tongue.

part two: the smile, tongue is touching the roof of her mouth

part three: huge smile with tongue hanging out

there is a part four, but it is something she just started.
she opens her mouth really wide.
i actually think it is her smile which will someday include a giggle or laugh.
she also does the smile and turns her head like she is shy or something.

i love her little curly mohawk.
it always bends over, looks like she might have some curl.

sleepiness

this girl loves to sleep and she loves her binkie.
my mom asked me if it is ever out of her mouth.
i really only give it to her when she is fussy and when going to sleep.
she is sure to guard it though from falling out.
i finally got a pic.
she seriously falls asleep like that, making sure it doesn't fall out.

i would much rather her suck her binkie than her fingers.
i can't take fingers away.
the other day right before it was time to eat i found her sucking her middle and index finger with the most grossed out face. nostrils flared and everything. like she was tasting something nasty.

back to her love for sleep.
the dr. said when babies sleep their brains are growing.
well she must have a huge brain.
she seriously sleeps for at least 3 hours in between her 4 hour feeding schedule.
most of the time she eats, falls asleep within 15-30 minutes and then sleeps until it's time to eat again or is woken up by something.
and most of the time i don't know she is awake until i go check on her and she is just chilling in her crib or in the swing.
her new night schedule is sleeping from 7:30pm to 3:30am, i give her, her binkie and she sleeps until 5am. if she fuses at 3:30 after i have given her, her binkie then i will feed her but she usually just goes back to sleep until 5 and then back to sleep until 8:30.

*i'm sorry, i am not trying to brag about her sleeping schedule. i just want to remember these details. i know most babies sleep 2-3 hours or more at this point.

she squirms in her sleep. she wiggles all the way down.
there have been some scary nights when i have gone in and her blanket is over her face.
the first time i about had a heart attack.
luckily that sleep positioner makes it so it isn't touching her face... but i am still really careful to check on her and make sure it isn't near her face.
hopefully as it becomes warmer she won't need a blanket.

Loo-uh-vull

We're headed to the University of Louisville in Louisville Kentuky!!
Most famous for the Kentucky Derby.
So, if you ever wanted to go, you now have a place to stay. (Aislinn)
Eddie starts graduate school August 24th.
We are super excited to be heading out East.
Eddie and I are both from the West Coast so it will be an interesting change.
We are already practicing how to say Louisville the local way. Loo-uh-vull...
I'm so excited we will be just a short drive...well 6 hours...from my brother and sister in law.
And I secretly have always wanted to live on the East Coast.
(I know Kentucky is not on the coast but it does have an EST)

This past week I have been SOOoo busy cleaning and decluttering our house to get it ready to go on the market. It's officially on the market as of today. And you know what our realtor said!!! He suggested painting a bold color in our bedroom, on one wall. Eddie and I laughed...due to the fact that I painted our one bold green wall white the week my mom was visiting.

I also thought I'd add a pic of Emi's room without the spare bed.
It actually looks like a nursery.
BTW...props to anyone that can sleep a good nights sleep in a queen size bed.
Eddie and I have a cal king and moved it into storage and are sleeping on our guest queen bed, in hopes that it makes our bedroom look bigger.
Holy Cow, we can not sleep.
We have knocked knees, almost fall off the bed, can touch the other side of the bed without effort, wake when the other stirs. ugh...I'm waiting to get elbowed in the face.
I know we're spoiled but man it's gonna be a rough few months.
So, if I'm crabby let me apologize in advance for my lack of sleep.

I also forgot to mention we got this awesome computer for graduation.
I still haven't figured out how to take silly photos, but I have skyped and have gotten use to closing a screen on the left instead of the right.

That leads me to why I didn't post our 5 year anniversary!! ALL my pics of us are on the other hard drive, which we haven't transferred yet. We were in Vegas, once again with my family. Seriously the last 4 years we have spent our anniversary with my family. All I remember was us saying Happy Anniversary! We didn't go out, or even give each other a card... but we did spend all day at the pool. Maybe I will post a 5 1/2 year anniversary post. Things will be less crazy then.

Wish me luck keeping my house spotless with a 2 month old.
Who by the way gabbers all the time. It's so cute!!

GG visit

Gma does get ready and doesn't wear her robe everyday. Just so happens the last few times I have been over to visit she has either not gotten ready yet for the day or is already ready for bed.
(i know if she had a access to the blog, let alone a computer... she'd like me to clarify that)

Emi never lets me out of her sight.
I didn't think separation anxiety started yet, but I think she has it.
(you'd think she'd get sick of looking at me all day, everyday)

first sunday

this is what emi wore to her first sunday at church.
we only went to sacrament but it was nice to go.
usually she sleeps during the time our church is but she was wide awake.
might of had something to do with the bad case of hic-ups she had.
she enjoyed staring at everyone and even smiled at the people behind us.

she's already sassy, sticking her tongue out at me!
i told her to smile and what did she do.
