can you believe i didn't do a special post for
eddie's dirty 30 birthday ?!?
Happy 30th Birthday Eddie!!
we were actually driving home from san diego on monday
and i wasn't sure how long or how we would feel after our drive
so i didn't really plan anything.
all i really planned was to drive most of the way home
so he wouldn't have to drive, that lasted like 6 hours
and he only had to drive a little over 2 hours.
on our drive home he asked me what i had planned.
gasp! uh...we can go to dinner?
as i hurry and text my mom to see if she can watch emi, ha!
he chose sushi and a little shopping after.

all week emi's cousins were at my parents house
while erik and loren enjoyed their honeymoon for a few days.
emi loved going over and playing.
emi especially loved this goggle thing, can't believe i never found it before.
it was up in the closet with all the other toys.
emi, claire and kaitlyn played cashier
it was hard because they all are only children
and none of them liked sharing
or having to wait their turn to play with something.
i am sure my mom was referee most of the week, as i was when there.
but of course they loved playing with each other.
we had emi's cousins over for a movie night
so their parents could go out to dinner with their grandparents.
i eventually had to hide that cinderella because kaitlyn also wanted it
and when i went to bed night, i had about 5 toys/dolls
hide underneath my sheets of toys she must not have wanted them to play with
i thought it was hilarious, emi knew they would be safe there.
i was shocked at how well emi shared her toys in her room
i wish i had 3 of each toy, good thing
we had at least 3 dress up clothes for the girls.
claire (5), emi (3), kaitlyn (3.5)
she kills me! i told her to hold still
and she said, no wait...i'll be a princess
and stands all weird!
not to mention her hair...she wants to only wear it this way
with two braids, like rapunzel....silly girl.
on thursday during our big ultrasound she went to the zoo
with her cousins, aunt and uncle and grandparents.
she wouldn't ride on the carousel but would ride the train.
emi was lucky enough to have her cousin read to her.
kaitlyn also reads and claire & kaitlyn would correct each other
emi was more like...oh that's what that says?!?
i did also notice emi was trying to 'read' her books at home
probably to be like her cousins.
i don't want her reading yet, i'm afraid she would be bored at school.
but i think it's super neat her cousins read.
on friday emi woke up and said, mom we need to do our chores today
i said ok...well when time came to start our chores
emi said, no mom let's lay in bed all day!
i said ok, sounds good to me.
so we laid in bed until about lunch time and then we started our day.
emi looking at her brother :)
looking for his pee pee to be exact.
each picture she would say, this one?
friday we also had some running around to do
and while at a stop light i saw her doing this in the reflection!
she has never sucked her thumb, maybe acting like a baby?
she keeps talking about baby, and where will we put the high chair?
and that he needs milk and not a water bottle, ha!
emi loves to help with dinner.
literally every day around 4pm, she says
mom we need to make dinner, and take a shower and go to bed.
i wanted to pre-make some snacks to keep in the fridge so i let her help me.
trying to peel the cucumber.
she ended up holding my hand, even while slicing it.
i thought i might lose a finger or thumb there for a minute.
washing the strawberries.
she seriously loves to help and clean things.
this week she also said a naughty word.
eddie and i each say one: i say crap and he says dang it.
we didn't know we said those until emi started saying them
so now we try to watch what we say.
well emi was playing with my phone, the talking tom app
the cat that repeats what you say
well, it was repeating what she said and she goes:
oh shut up!
i use to think those things were cute, and might have laughed at one point.
now she gets in trouble.
she has only said it once and i hope it stays that way.
i wasn't ready for her to learn those kind of words until she started school.
today we helped with a service project
mormon helping hands...our ward was in charge of a few parks
and trimming bushes along a walking path.
emi and i went to take pictures for the bishopric bulletin board.
but enjoyed the free lunch provided after.
and then we headed over to gma and gpa's to wash the car
emi wanted to help...she did end up spraying eddie on his back
she thought that was hilarious.
i got to clean out her car seat....every single time
i am like, why do i wait so long to clean this
it gets so gross so fast!
another succesful week....next week we leave for utah for ashley's graduation
and visiting gg and jessica for a week....so excited!
