My cousin Matt and his wife Annabelle are expecting their first child. We all headed to the shower, but had to take a "cousin's picture " first.
Random pic from my seat. They served the most delicious breakfast quiche.(my mouth is watering just thinking of it)
Annabelle opening gifts. She got a ton of onesies which will be good for the hot AZ weather. Yes I switched seats....had to get a better view.
O.K. I know I shouldn't make fun. But for real...Gma Slater...Matt's other Gma looked JUST like Mrs. Doubtfire!! Remember the movie with Robin Williams?Oh and by the way...she totally knew I was taking a pic of her and didn't look very happy about it. Maybe it was all the giggling that was coming from our side of the room. Sorry Gma Slater.
Gma and I and Ashley all went in on a gift card to Target since she had to fly back to AZ. I also made her some tie dye onesies. I actually didn't take any after pics because they didn't turn out how I wanted them to and wasn't going to give them to her. But then I figured...you can always use onesies.Anyways, it was a messy process but I had a lot of fun doing it. It was much harder than I remembered but maybe that was because they were onesies and not full size t-shirts.
I found 5 different designs online. I would have to say none of them really turned out....probably because they were 0-3 months...not much to work with.
Online it said to wrap them in plastic wrap and let them sit for 6-8 hours...or longer. I did them before I went to bed and woke up early the next morning to rinse them out.
If you are going to do this, remember a grocery bag or something to put the dyed rubber bands and plastic wrap in.
The finished product before I washed them. They came out a little lighter but were still really dark. I guess they turned out o.k. but not all professional looking like I saw online. Guess I will just have to try again. Thanks Annabelle for inviting us to your shower, we had a ton of fun and it was so nice seeing you.
