weekly update

i have found that emi doesn't do so well picking out books

not sure it if it overwhelming or she just doesn't care

but she prefers for me to just reserve books online.

thank you pinterest for the book recommendations, emi has loved them all.

usually if i let her pick some out, she randomly just picks books

and are usually not age appropriate.

not to mention she really just likes the library for access to the computer.

so it's a win, win. we go in, pick our books up

and emi goes straight to the computer, by passing the books.

this was makai's first time walking around "freely".

thursday morning the kids and i went to pick momo and poppy up from the airport.

it was great to have them visit in the 'flesh'

chatting via the computer pays off because makai wasn't too shy.

thursday night we had tickets to disney on ice.

real boys wear pink...ha! or use their sisters old binkie.

friday we headed to the zoo and had a fun time.

my favorite comments from emi were:

calling momo slow motion, cause she was walking slowing through the reptile house.

and telling poppy: wow! you know your animals!! (cause he was reading the signs)

and of course it was nice to have eddie join us.

i thought this picture was hilarious.

emi must have heightened scent issues. 

she is always plugging her nose around smelly animals.

i love this picture of emi.

emi and makai had fun riding the carousel.

and then we all rode the train around the zoo.

friday night momo and poppy babysat while eddie and i went to tanner's football game.

we came home to emi asleep on the couch, her wildest dream.

and makai snuggling with poppy, something makai never does.

every time after emi takes a bath or shower and we get her dressed

makai always comes running, trying to put her underwear on.

usually i put them on over his pajamas, but not this time.

he loves to wear her underwear. hopefully it will be incentive for him to potty train.

and since we have more than one halloween function to attend

i figure why not...have more than one costume.

not sure how i'm gonna get makai to wear something on his head.

saturday we headed to old sac and explored down there. 

emi got her first candy necklace and loved it.

emi wanted to ride the buffalo.

we hit up our favorite dessert place for ice cream.

eddie was carrying both the kids, so of course i had to get a picture.

sunday we headed up to apple hill.

next time, if there is a next time we will go on a week night.

it was a mad house and over crowded.

monday we just spent some time at home before momo and poppy had to go home.

 

the kids had such a fun time playing outside with poppy and momo. 

 

before we went to the airport we went to our favorite, chickfila.
and makai was in a silly mood.
wish this was more clear, but this is his silly smile.

tuesday morning we woke up and did our usual routine....nothing.

emi requested "spoiled" eggs for breakfast and ate 3!!

we did some errands and mr makai fell asleep on the way home.

knock on wood, but he transfers so great.

emi painted a pumpkin while makai napped.

she made me hold the pumpkin up so she could paint the bottom.

such a silly girl.

this cracked me up! nutella is on "sale" at costco...

so rightfully so we needed to get some.

it was funny cause emi doesn't pay attention to what i put in the cart.

so when she saw me putting it away in the pantry

she said: ooohhh!!! i'll get two spoons. ha! love my girl.

how could i tell her no.

and then she offered to help unload the dishwasher in exchange for another spoonful.
