floor remodel

so the day finally came to put some laminate floors in

and rip out the nasty carpet that existed.

makai was happy watching frozen in our room.

all while they demolished the living areas.

they tore out our carpet and kitchen tile.

it was so loud and such a mess.

this guy worked hard!! i actually felt bad for him.

he seriously loves frozen.

even even mimics parts of the movie

and takes out his paci for the clock part of the song,

 do you want to build a snowman?

 

 
at one point eddie called me to see how things were going.
and i noticed him lay next to me.
all while the jackhammer was going.

i got off the phone with eddie and turned to see makai sleeping.

i was like what the heck?!

seriously the jackhammer could be heard down the block.

looks like we just needed jackhammer white noise.

emi too was also content watching tv all day.

they both love tv so much.

so being holed up in our room wasn't so bad.

emi hated eating breakfast outside each morning.

i actually kind of liked it.

all the mess stayed outside and it was refreshing.

the last day before everything was complete 

makai enjoyed some shows from his regular viewing area.

he cracks me up with that chair.

this isn't the best before and after.

but it made a huge difference. 

we have a major echo in our home.

we would love to get a new, smaller couch.

but we love how they turned out, totally worth it!
