zoo day

our friends stephanie and drew...hi stephanie!!

moved to the same city as us in january.

we were in KY together for our husbands master's programs.

well they got a zoo membership and invited us to tag along.

we had a great time and look forward to many more trips.

i always think it is hilarious that emi thinks the flamingos stink.

i think one time it did and now every time she thinks it does.

we took the usual zoo pictures.

not sure why she looks uncomfortable here?

we had a great time.

it was nice and sunny.

we only had one hiccup, if you want to call it that.

makai ran and chased some ducks, so then trey and emi followed.

luckily we were able to round them up.

emi loves to have her picture taken in these photo props.

the orangutans were actually out for once in their life

for the second time since we have been to the zoo 20+ times.

then we made it over to the carousel, emi's favorite part of the zoo.
