weekly update

i'm trying to stay on top of things...

which really means avoid finishing the kitchen.

i decided while the appliances were out to paint the cabinets.

i am done with 80% of the bottom and just have the top to finish.

i didn't realize how much detail and work goes into it. 

i am hoping by next week i will be done! 100% done.

gma brought the kids some treats for easter.

she brought us some strawberries that bloom all year

a blueberry bush! hoping to save some $$ ha!

candy and some popsicles...yummy!!

banana boy!

this boy and his bananas he insists on eating daily.

he begs and begs for it...then takes either forever to eat it

or he shoved it all in his mouth.

he was trying to climb onto this portion of the couch which was next to a light switch.

please sleep in longer little children.

the day i learn to go to sleep earlier my life will become easier.

for now....thank goodness for a little morning tv.

please excuse the mess on the ground

and our distant relatives in our picture frames (the picture that comes with the frame)

but emi loves this silver dress she has and wears it all the time.

since having the floors done we took off the blinds to the sliding glass door

so there is sun shining in most of the morning.

now she wants to wear the dress everyday so she can do this.

the first time she did it she yelled to me:

hey mom!! watch me shake my boobies!!

i was like what? so confused....

then she was shaking her upper body. she is funny.

we finally planted our garden.

eddie dragged his feet in the sand.

he hates any and all yard work. which is funny cause when were dating

my brother had his reception at my parents house 

and my parents asked us to come early to help with yard work.

i can still hear him singing: my name is edwardo!!

two different tomatoes...one for eating and one for hamburgers

red bell peppers and zucchini and of course strawberries.

this easter the easter bunny brought her some new heels.

i found them in january and was going to give them to her for her birthday

but then she found those silver ones.

loving this huge lollipop.

on each side it is licked almost all the way through now.

this boy! he is so silly.

somehow a cracker got stuck on his forehead

so when it fell off he did it again.

i posted this on instagram.

but every time we get in the car, emi asks if the mail has come?

she usually asks me earlier in the day and our mail doesn't come until 3:30

so if we are out and about i will stop and get the mail

and let her stand out of the sunroof. she loves it!

it's just 3 houses down. and every time she says: this is awesome!!

i love when other kids are out playing and they all stop and stare at her.

this kid loves to yell.

he loves these puzzles but he likes to play with the pieces more than he does the puzzle.

he likes to yell super loud to show me whatever he is holding.

like: mom! look!! 

this monster of mine is so challenging some days.

let's face it, most days.

this is what happened when i realized i hadn't gone to the bathroom all day.

i came back less than 2 minutes later to this mess.

i didn't use the entire can and threw it in a fresh garbage.

so he had to have reached to the bottom to get it.

luckily it was an easy clean up...and i wanted to clean the floors.

i decided to take a picture before i stopped him...since the damage was done.

and then he had time out and shook his finger naughty, naughty to me.

we finally made it to ikea.

and i finally got the shoe rack i have been wanting since forever. woohoo!!

eddie fought it like the plague. he thought it would be dumb.

he thought it was really dumb as he spent an hour putting it together.

but by the time it was attached to the wall he was talking about going to hobby lobby.

and thinking of ideas for decoding it. 

lunchtime. when makai doesn't want his picture taken

he either yells like the picture below or turns away.

usual he yells first then turns away.

i got these cups that are amazing.

it is a zippy type cup, teaching him to drink out of a regular cup

but it doesn't leak or spill. i might need to get more.

bedhead and breakfast.

he didn't want his picture taken.

but i thought it was hilarious and kind of looks like great grandpa anderson.

also i am trying really hard to remember to make him wear a bib.

i am sick of spot treating all his shirts.

i put this bookcase together all by myself.

i wasn't about to ask eddie to assemble another ikea piece.

turns out it is the perfect height for makai and is exactly what i was wanting.

wish there was room for a tee pee or some sort of reading nook.

all those books have been in boxes since we've moved in.

so glad he can have access to them now.

emi and her reward jar.

she usually goes straight for that bubble gum.

every time i ask her to do a chore, she asks what her reward is.

not sure how to break that habit but hey she does them willingly.

i was in charge of dessert...and a side dish...which i completely spaced.

for our easter dinner at my parents.

i made it from scratch. why i didn't buy a boxed cake is beyond me.

turned out ok. eddie claimed it looked like a car, before the ears.

i'd love to take a cake decorating class. one day.
