Ginormis Remote

I always thought these were funny, almost like a gag gift. Until gpa would call me almost daily for help with his new HD lov'in t.v.... with new technically comes new problems, I guess. For some reason he was having trouble seeing the buttons on the comcast remote. He would end up with picture and picture by pushing any and all the buttons probably on the remote. And of course he couldn't figure out how to get out of it. The first time I went over there to fix the picture and picture problem, gma was so excited she could watch whatever show she wanted on one side of the screen and he could watch his show on the other side. I said no...I am not showing you how to do that.

So, when Eddie and I saw this baby for 40% we bought it. Eddie set up the remote so it would work their t.v and they LOVE it!! A little bigger than the last remote, but they were thrilled with how big the buttons were. By the way...they are the same size as a nickel!

When I left tonight from there house....I was literally 2 stop lights away. Gpa calls me...I thought, could something really go wrong with this fool proof remote? Not yet, he just wanted to know what channel the Jazz game was on. Ha!

Jump'in Jack

(This is not my tummy...just a pic off the internet)

I have felt "movement" since 16 weeks. Like bubbles, almost like I was nervous and wanted to throw up or something. This past week I've been getting kicked and I believe she is doing jumping jacks. The first time I felt her kick I seriously thought something dropped off my desk at work and magically touched my stomach. After searching the ground for whatever may have touched me. It happened again. So I looked at my tummy...and thought..oh yeah! Silly me. But since that first kick, oh man. She is wild. She is breech, still... I think, that is what I have been told... so her head is above my belly button and her feet are below. So it is the weirdest, coolest feeling to have her arms and legs move around. One second it is on one side of my tummy and the next second it is somewhere else. Yesterday I had a Dr. Pepper (trying to cure a caffeine headache) and I literally felt a little motion sickness from all the commotion going on in there. I have been told (advice) to keep track of her movements and hopefully that is when she is awake. I do have to say she is awake a majority of the day so hopefully she will she sleep through the night. Ha! Wishful thinking, I know!

I heart craft shows!

I'm a sucker for craft shows. I go thinking, oh I can get such great ideas. If I just buy 'it' then I can duplicate it and then, I never do. If I didn't blog stalk I would have never found out about this awesome event. I was excited to see the first location was right near my work. So, on Friday after work I headed over to Noah's. Oh man, I wish I didn't live on a budget. I could have bought one of everything there. I really wanted one of these...but I was on a budget, but you should see my car, I need one.
I got these...for baby E. I didn't think until I left, about the brown clashing with her brown or pretty much black hair she will have, probably. I'm guessing she won't be a blonde bombshell, like my niece. But I fell in love with the little pearl I think. They are made from felt and I think I can duplicate them, I think. They are tiny...no bigger than a quarter. I'm banking on all this heart burn I've been having, that she will have some hair to clip. Which by the way...I think I figured out what is causing all the heart burn even with heart burn medicine. Artificial sugar!! So much for gusher, foot by the foot, slurpees and fruit snacks.
And then I got this! I will have to take an updated picture when it is out of the wrapping. We will actually be home this Christmas, my parents are coming and I am so excited!! Which leads me to ask...are you a real or artificial Christmas tree person? I am totally a real tree kind of girl but Eddie wants to put up our fake one. Ugh! We'll see...Oh and I am so excited to finally put up my Willow Tree Nativity Scene. I have no idea which parts I am still missing because I have never been home for Christmas to set it up. I did know I was missing the stars, so we stopped by the BYU bookstore the other night, not planning on getting anything. But they were having their annual 20% everything in the store from 5-9p.m. that night and the Nativity stuff was 20% and then the additional 20% for that night. So I picked up the stars...originally $18, I got them for $12.

Back to Oh Sweet Sadie... And then I almost bought the Tinkerbell of these. My mom loves Tinkerbell, but they were $5 each and I figured my mom wouldn't wear it in her hair, ha! They even had Elmo, but I was on a budget and didn't get it like I wanted to.

After my fun trip to the craft show I swung by and picked gma up for our GNO...girl's night out...that is what we tell gpa so he doesn't invite himself. Gma read the book for book group and has anxiously been waiting to see this since. I am more of the type to watch the movie then read the book, so there are no disappointments. I am excited to go to the library to pick this baby up. I loved the movie.

I think it was Thursday, the BYU girl's soccer team made the NCAA tournament and it was hosted here. These pictures are from the first game, they won 2 to 0 but today lost in a penalty kick shoot out thing. They were so close to scoring in the double OT game but didn't. They did an awesome job though and it was fun to get out and do something.
I am thankful for digital camera's. I am sure if we were still in the film era, this is what half of my pictures would look like. At least it was mostly Eddie and not my no makeup ugly mug!

Eddie tearing up our tickets so he can make confetti for when they score.
Celebrating their win, from the first game. The lose was actually kind of awkward at the end today. I think because every one's emotions were up from almost scoring and then such a disappointing lose. Oh well, you win some and lose some.

Proud...

Eddie got a 98.6% on his biology test!!
If you know Eddie...biology is not something he is even remotely interested in. Hence, why he is taking biology until the last possible semester.
I am so proud of him and all his hard work.
Good job!! Keep up the good work!

Halfway there...

I waited for Eddie while he was on a 2 year LDS mission, for those of you that don't know that. I put a smiley face sticker on one of those mission countdown things, everyday! I don't have a baby countdown thing... but oh man, am I feeling excited to meet our baby girl! Like I was excited to be with Eddie again. I can't believe this adventure is half over already.
Tomorrow I am 21 weeks!! This is what babycenter says our baby and my body look like. I don't think I am showing and when my mom came to visit this past weekend she agreed I looked the same. So, sorry no belly pics yet. When people find out I am prego they think I am just a few weeks, because I am not showing. Maybe I should get a shirt that says...it's a bump, not just plump! She is definitely growing though, because everyday it gets harder and harder to bend over and pick something up. Yay for the halfway mark!!

No news is good news right?

Just the daily grind around here.

Can I just say though. I am really enjoying this fall back time change thing! I have been in bed by
8 p.m. almost every night since the time change.

I guess stuff has been going on...I guess, with Eddie.
Eddie applied for graduation AND registered for his last semester at BYU!
Received the confirmation letter from BYU, for graduation. yay!!
He has been studying for the GMAT test, which is in one week. Ekk!

What's going on with me: um...not a whole lot.
I still have heart burn. I have heard that means our baby will have lots of hair.
Not sure if I believe that or if it is true.

I have been trying to break in some new shoes...which is a joke! I wear flip flops 95% of the year, give or take a few days when it snows really bad. I have been trying to be better about wearing shoes so I don't slip...precious cargo aboard. One I hate wearing socks....and two I think my left foot is bigger than my right foot. I think I should start trying shoes on my left foot instead of my right foot from now on. So, I put my new shoes on before work. My feet hurt but I can walk. I give myself a pep talk and convince myself I can get through the day. I get to work...and decide to take my shoes off. Bad idea! Put my shoes back on to leave for lunch. I can barley walk! I get back from lunch and I kick them off. My left foot was throbbing from just an hour of wearing them. So what happens when I put them on to leave for the day? My left foot won't fit in the shoe. I seriously felt like Cinderella's step sister trying to fit my foot in the glass slipper. Needless to say. I don't think I will be wearing those in the next week. Let my blister heal.

Meet our....

Baby GIRL!!!

What an exciting day! So, the second picture the ultrasound tech took of her I knew it was a she! It wasn't the perfect view but I saw what I needed to, to know what I saw. The tech didn't say anything and neither did I. She examined everything else, the baby is in the breach position for now but everything looks good. Four heart chambers... her nose and lips look great and saw we her fingers and toes. Eddie sat anxiously waiting, he even asked when we were going to see the 'dingle berries' how embarrassing. But not more embarrassing than my mom asking if she had slanted or straight eyes! Gma sat in amazement and said stuff about how... if back in the day they had this, maybe baby bobby would have never died. Sad...but true. Finally after calling in another tech our little baby girl decided to unwrap her legs. Because after she realized she was in the spotlight, she decided to curl up in a ball.

Today's the day....

Happy Birthday Gma!!

Today is gma's 85th birthday. We are going to the Olive Garden for dinner, her favorite place to eat. Like we do every year. Also every year her daughters fly in from where ever they live and celebrate the weekend with her. Something she looks forward to for a long time.

Let's see, she has a hair appt this morning, then at noon I will pick her up and then go get my mom from the airport and then go to my ultrasound appt. (something gma has never seen) then home to see the girls (her daugthers) and then to Olive Garden we will go.

It was kind of funny yesterday. I went over gma's after work and dropped off flowers from Costco. I got the most beautiful fall bunch...it even had a little pumpkin in it. I figure she is 85, what does she need? I know she loves flowers so I opted for something she will enjoy. So, her v.t. comes over and brings her roses and Gpa pulls me aside and says...he was going to get her flowers, now what should he do? I felt bad, but thought it was funny I kind of burst his bubble and so did her v.t. I explained to him she wants this perfume and he said no he doesn't want to mess with that. So, I said...write her an I owe you! Ha! He laughed. I'm anxious to see what he does for her.

This week has flown by... I hope this day doesn't drag until 2:30. I am so excited!!
I will say I have been dying to find out which of these I get to buy.

Aren't these just the cutest!!

HD lov'in

Gma and Gpa got some HD lov'in this past weekend. Gma wanted to buy a new T.V. for x-mas but decided she couldn't wait. I usually talk to Gma at least once a day. One night this past week I called to check in and she said they were at R.C. Willey's. I said...stop what your doing and don't buy anything. She explained they found a great deal for like $1500 and that they'd deliver the t.v. for $75. I explained that isn't a good deal there was no need to pay $75 for them to come plug in the t.v. and that Eddie and I would be up to help them the next night. Since I am pretty positive they had no idea what the difference was between HD and plasma and all that jazz. We headed up the next night and took them to Costco. Gpa died and went to heaven when he saw the t.v. he was going to buy the night before was $600 cheaper. For Gma we just had to go down the t.v. isle and said she'd take it. After much convincing to Gpa we left with a 42 inch.

They went from this:
(when I took the picture Eddie had already moved the t.v. into their bedroom)

To this:
When I took this picture. I asked if they ever thought they'd have a t.v. this big. Gma said...I never thought I would even have a t.v. I guess we don't realize the luxuries we have these days.
Friday night after the party we went over to Gma and Gpa's and took the receiver so that I could exchange it for a HD receiver. There is a location in Lindon... so before the game I swung by there, instead of waiting for a service call and having someone come out. Then we went to the game. Eddie has to be there 3 hours before the game to set stuff up for his internship and then has to stay an hour or so after to take things down. One more home football game...then on to basketball season.

This trainer guy swings his arms literally the whole game. Trying to hype the crowd I guess. It was funny to watch him. I would imagine his shoulders would be sore by the end of the game.
Ever wonder how they clean the stadium? They sweep everything to the stairway. Looked like in small sections someone hand picked every thing and put it in a trash sack. But for large areas they sweep everything from the top and pushed it to the bottom and then place like a dumpster under the portals and push all the trash in. Maybe I am the only nerd that thinks that is interesting.
Then after the game we headed back downtown for a wedding reception. For a girl Eddie knew from his mission, which was like 5 years ago so it was weird to see everyone. Her mom couldn't remember what Eddie's name was and confused him for his companion, who is a body builder. I tried really hard not to laugh out loud when she said that. It was at Cactus and Tropical which was a cool place and I loved the chocolate fountains...thank you heart burn medicine.

This week should be an exciting one. Gma wants to see HSM 3 (gag!) on Monday, Tuesday we have a Dr. appt, Wednesday I'm going to a baby shower after work, Thursday my mom flies in for Gma's birthday and our ultrasound appt. (yay!) and Friday is Halloween, even though we aren't doing anything fun that night. My mom will be here all weekend and that should be fun.
Stay tuned for some updates!!

Finally...

Someone has been hogging the computer most of the day, writing a bio paper or some sort of school work.
We've had such a busy weekend, we took a mental health day off from church today...ha!
(you would too if you had church at 8:30 a.m.)

Friday night after work we headed up to SLC for our friend's Halloween Party. It was fun to see everyone and catch up on things. I thought it would be cool to blow dry my hair and make it all big to go along with my costume. Too bad that plan didn't work. When I blow dry my hair it gets huge...sort of like this:

But this time I decided since I wanted it to last all night I would put gel in it and then hair spray my hair as I blow dried it. It just turned out curly. It actually looked cute and only took a few minutes. Maybe one of these mornings, I will feel like getting ready and try it again.

Eddie and I were given a mini tri-pod last x-mas and had never used it before. We decided we needed some pics before we left for the party. We were laughing cause Eddie set the timer and it never went off and we were just standing there waiting for it to take a picture.
Cat had her house decorated so cute. The party was a blast! There were little mice all over the house, if you look to the bottom right of the picture.
Here's Simione (in the purple) who wore b-ball shorts over his skin tight costume and his wife Michelle was a ladybug. Jake in the red. Cat was Cindy Lou from How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I think her costume turned out so cute and her hair was awesome.
The Grinch, Marcus.

In the backyard they had these things to take fun pictures with. I think Marcus said Cat painted it. I think it turned out so good.

Eddie seriously sleeps like this. Well with his eyes shut of course. I always joke that he looks like he sleeps in a coffin, he says I hog the bed. Which I probably do :)
We had a fun time and the costumes were a hit.

Peter...Peter Pumpkin Eater

This is usually my screen saver at work this time of year. I think it is silly.
And for anyone that is interested. My ultrasound appointment got bumped up a day earlier. Now it is on Gma's birthday.

Weekend Festivities

We made it to the pumpkin patch. This picture was taken after all of Eddie's hard work. We picked out four pumpkins so when the rug rats (our younger siblings) came over for Sunday dinner would could do a little family activity. The weather was so nice, but it was hot! We even went for ice cream after the pumpkin patch. It was a fun date.

Eddie and I got half way out and realized we probably needed some sort of clippers to cut the pumpkins. I would have taken more pictures but the camera died.

After coming home I decided I would finish my Halloween costume. We go to a Halloween party every year and we usually have lame costumes cause we both aren't huge fans of Halloween.

But this year I looked online for some creative couple costumes. The costumes I chose are a little naughty...but that is o.k...fits our personalities I guess...a little naughty!!

This thing was a pain to sew. But I think it turned out well...besides my double chin!
I think I might try to make my hair all crazy and wild...like I was electrocuted or something. Eddie's is simple...just some plug things. I will take a picture when he is all dressed up.

(on a side note...I was joking around when we got home from church today and put my costume on while Eddie was upstairs. Eddie asked me to go get the news paper and locked me out! In my costume. It was funny until our neighbor came outside.)

Then tonight we carved out pumpkins. I think they turned out great. We couldn't find the battery charger to the camera so we didn't get any pictures carving them...well, besides on my phone...and those pics weren't that great and we are all in p.j.'s anyways...so your not missing out.
Then Eddie found the charger in the car after I swore it wasn't in there...ha!

I think they turned out great!!

This was mine...had a little mishap with the spider web in the beginning.

My sisters...

My brother in laws... I think his was the hardest by far...

And Eddie's...
